Irene Theckla Neville was the daughter of US Congressman William Harryman Neville and his second wife Irene Morrison Rector. Her father was Sergeant in the Federal army during the Civil War; Representative in the Illinois legislature; Representative in the Nebraska Legislature; Judge of the 13th District in Nebraska; Elected to the 56th United States Congress in Nebraska; and a Representative in Arizona. Her mother, Irene Morrison Rector, was the granddaughter of General Pitcain Morrison.

She married Charles McDonald Reynolds April 26, 1911 in North Platte, Nebraska. Charles Reynolds was also born in North Platte. He was the son of William Cannon Reynolds of Illinois, and Nettie V. McDonald of North Platte.

Irene and Charles had two sons, both born in Nebraska. They moved to Omaha Ward 9, Douglas County, Nebraska between 1910 and 1920. In 1930 they lived in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. They returned to Nebraska some time after 1930, and shortly after that time they separated or divorced.

Irene's oldest son died in 1938, and she suffered major depression after his death from which she never recovered.

Irene and Charles had two sons;

1. Charles Morrison Reynolds; born 5 Apr 1912; died 26 Jun 1938

2. William Neville Reynolds; born abt 1920, Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska
