George Bernsten, 56, died Wednesday night following a lingerng illness. He was born June 6, 1909 at Logan, Utah, a son of Ole Berntsen and Marie Hansen Berntsen. He married Twilla Jones at Brigham City, Utah, July 20, 1937. Following their marriage they lived in Logan and in 1953 moved to Burley, Idaho, the nexy year they moved to Mackay where they have since resided. Mr. Berntsen was a sheetmetal worker by trade installing furnances. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is survived by his widow, Twilla, four daughters, Mrs. Jack Anderson (Colleen), Butte, Montana; Mrs. Glen Rodman (Jan), Pleasant Hills, California; Mrs. Larry Cloward, Kellogg; and Terri Lynn Bernsten (later married Bryron Pehrson), Mackay, Idaho; and one son, Brent. Three brothers also survive, Roy, Charles and Ed Bernsten, all of Logan and a sister, Mrs. Fred Blanchard, Logan and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lindquist Mortuary in Logan, Utah, Monday, September 13 at 1 p.m. with interment at Logan City Cemetery at Logan, Utah. Marvel Memorial Chapel of Arco, Idaho is handling the local arrangements.
