Although there is no record of his final place of burial, all indications are that he is buried at his home "Sim's Delight" with his wife and son.

Colonel of the Lower Battalion of Militia in Prince George's County along with his son, Col. Patrick Sim.



He was the son of Dr. Patrick Sim and Mary Brooke. He married Catherine Murdock abt. 1754 and Lettice Wardrop Thomson who was twice a widow and died 1776.

He served as a clerk of the Prince George's County Court from 1749-1767. He was the Justice of Provincial Court in 1773. Served as a member of the lower house 1771 and again from 1773 to 1776. He was on the Committee of Observation in 1775. Served as a State Senate from 1776 to 1781. Colonel of the Militia May 5, 1774; Colonel of the 11th Battalion January 13, 1776 until September 23, 1776 when he resigned. He contributed tobacco and money to support the Revolutionary Army in 1780.
