ALEX JARVIS

Rev. Vernon Bell of Washago United Church was the officiating minister January 19, for the funeral of Alex Jarvis, , 69, of RR 1, Severn Bridge. Mr. Jarvis died Jan. 16, 1979, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. The funeral was in the Crawford Chapel of the Doolittle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Leonard Comer, Bill Olimer, Bob Cox,Randy Boynton, Ralph Hawkins, Alfred Watson, all of Lake St. George. entombment is at St. Andrews Cemetery Vault, for burial later at St. Georges Cemetery, Cooper's Falls.

A retired farmer, Mr. Jarvis had spent a number of years with Orillia Air Services and three years with Pal Engines.

He was born July 19, 1910 at Locust Hill, son of the late Wm. Ross and Mary Ellenor Jarvis (nee Smith). He married Ethel Fenton on April 6, 1935, in Sebright.

He moved to Sebright with his parents in 1926, resided in Cannington for 10 years, Bracebridge for three years, then to Lake St. George where he lived until his death.

Mr. Jarvis is survived by his wife, son Robert of Orillia, sisters viola (Mrs. Gordon Malcolm) of Stouffville, Esther (Mrs. W. G. Carson) of Brechin, a brother Walter of Cannington. A brother Wallace predeceased him.

The late Alex Javis is resting at the Crawford Chapel of the Doolittle Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater Street East for service on Friday January 19th at 1:30 p.m. Entombment St. Andrew's Cemetery Vault Orillia with burial later at St. George's Cemetery, Cooper's Fall
