Mrs Davis, wife of Mr James Davis, one of Jackson townships most prominent and influential farmers, died of dropsy last Monday morning; her age was about sixty five years and she was a woman of strong religious character and endearing traits, which won for her the love and esteem of all who knew her. Upright in her walk in life-a noble woman-she goes to her rest in the grave sincerely mourned by a wide circle of relatives and friends. The remains received interment in the Warner chapel burial ground, Tuesday afternoon, after funeral services at the church, conducted by Rev Zook.
