REP. GRANGER'S SISTER DIES

Mrs. Emma Granger Knox, 62, 546 S. 4th West, sister of Walter K. Granger, United States Representative from Utah, died Thursday at 10:55 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital.
She was born in St. George June 4, 1885, a daughter of Walter K. and Anna Granger. She moved to Eureka following her marriage to William Knox, where they resided for a time before coming to Salt Lake City 30 years ago.
Mrs. Knox was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Gold Star Mothers. Her son, Walter K. Knox, was killed in action in the European theater during World War II.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Clarence S., Richard Sidney and William Richard Knox, Salt Lake City; her brother, Walter K. Granger; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Montez, and a half-brother, Noble Dodge, both of Salt Lake City, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at [Deseret Mortuary] 36 E. 7th South, where friends may call until time of funeral. Burial will be in Salt Lake City cemetery.
