Deacon Davis Allen Sr., a Korea army veteran, age 86, of Elberton, Georgia passed Sept. 9, 2016.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at Carlton Grove Baptist Church, Elberton, Georgia. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Deacon Allen will be placed in the church Wednesday at 1 pm until hour of service.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Mae Allen, sons, Davis Allen Jr., Melvin E. Allen; brother, Joe Louis Allen; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
