Ivar Abrahamson, 79, of 714 Fourteenth street, Moline, died in his home at 11 o'clock last night.

Mr. Abrahamson was born Nov. 16, 1863, in Sweden and moved to Moline in 1881. He married Miss Bessie C. Peterson June 30, 1910, in Moline. He had been employed at the John Deere Plow Works for 45 years prior to his retirement in 1939. Mr. Abrahamson was a member of the Moline Doric Lodge of Masons, Moline Consistory, Kaaba Temple Shrine, Davenport, Zal Grotto of Moline, Beloit Lodge of Eagles, Swithard Lodge of Moline and a past president of the credit union at John Deere Plow Works.

Surviving are the widow; three nephews, Harry Sward and Arthur Nelson of Moline, and Leonard Abrahamson of Sweden; a niece, Mrs. Walter Olson of Rockford; a brother, Dr. Arthur Abrahamson and a sister, Miss Anna Abrahamson, of Stockholm, Sweden.

Furneral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Esterdahl chapel, Moline, with the Rev. Axel G. Pearson, pastor of Bethel Methodist Church, Moline, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. The Moline Doric Lodge of Masons will conduct special services.
