Kathleen "Kitty" Smith of Springfield passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 19, 2020 surrounded by her family after a long illness.
Kitty was born in Gardner, MA to the late Ignazio and Amilda (Baron) Giuffre and lived with them in Athol for years. She married Alexander Smith and traveled with him while he was in the Air Force, living in Europe, Puerto Rico, and Missouri amongst other places before settling down in Springfield where they lived out the rest of their days.
Kitty was predeceased by her loving husband Alexander and her four sisters, Barbara, Doris, Dorothy, and Norma. Kitty also leaves behind two daughters, Robin Warren and her husband David of Springfield, Susan Frame and her husband Daniel of Spring Hill, Florida, and a son, David Smith of Ludlow. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Brandon, and Taylor and 5 great-grandchildren, Mason, Zachary, AnnaRose, Alexa, and Alyssa. She leaves behind a brother, Matteo Giuffre and his wife Sharon of Athol, MA.
