Frederick Michael Kuehl, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 27, 2003, in Santa Cruz, Calif. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Kuehl, in 1986; and his mother, Claire F. Kuehl, in 1990. He is survived by a daughter, Megan, Flagstaff, Ariz.; and a son, Benjamin, Phoenix, Ariz.; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Michael Scott, Biddeford, Maine; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Donna Kuehl, Endicott, N.Y., James and Janine Kuehl, Burdett, N.Y.; brothers, Robert Kuehl, Palm Springs, Calif., John Kuehl, Johnson City, N.Y.; numerous nieces and nephews. Fred graduated from Vestal High School in 1968 and attended the University of Maine. He received an honorable discharge from the US Navy. Fred enjoyed boating and was an avid fisherman. He loved music and was an excellent guitar player. All those who knew him were drawn to his gentle nature and delightful sense of humor. He was a charming and lovable person and will be missed by his family and friends.
A private memorial service will take place in Phoenix, Ariz. at at later date.
