ELI KITCH
Eli Kitch was born in Pennsylvania, April 15, 1849. He was married to Miss Sarah Mowery at West Middlesex, Pennsylvania February 8, 1871. He later moved with his wife to Nebraska, and here most of their children were born. With his family he moved to Cedaredge in 1918 and resided here till death of his wife on September 18, 1923. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Effie Nelson, Boise, Idaho; six sons, Joseph Kitch, Ely, Nev., Ross Kitch, Anselmo, Neb., Orlin Kitch, Delta, James Kitch, Arnold, Neb., Willis and Harry Kitch, Cedaredge. One daughter and one son also preceded him in death : Essie Blanche Kitch on October 27, 1890 and Earl Ransel Kitch on November 23, 1902. For the last several years, Mr. Kitch made his home with his son Orlin, at Delta. He died January 2, 1929, aged 79 years, 8 months and 17 days. Funeral services were held at the Cedaredge Community Church Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. L. C. Dryden. Interment was made in the Cedaredge cemetery.
