Mrs. Gertrude Hagan Black died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of her parents, Sheriff and Mrs. Peter M. Hagan. Mrs. Black had been critically ill for the past several weeks and her death came as little surprise to her many friends.
Mrs. Black is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hagan and was born in this city and has practically resided here all her life. She is survived by her parents and one little son, to whom the sympathy of the entire community is extended.
The funeral service will be held from the Peniel Church this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock and the interment will be in the Peniel Cemetery. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 6 Jul 1923.)
