An obit published on 18 Dec 1919 on page 3 of the Pasadena Post, wrote that Charles died at age 55. He died at his home, he had been a resident of Pasadena for two months. He was survived by two brothers in Sweden and one sister, Mrs Henry Tisdale he resided with. Mountain View was named as the cemetery he was buried at.
