A former Ledyard man, Lorenz H. Nitz, 45 of Brandon, Wis., died last Saturday of a heart attack while at work as an inspector in a cheese factory.
Funeral services were held Monday in Wisconsin and Wednesday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lakota with Rev. Paul Ofstedal officiating. Burial was in the Swea City Cemetery.
He was born June 14, 1919 at Lakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Nitz of Lakota, who survive. He went to school at Ledyard and was married to Maxine Dorsey of that town on Aug. 24, 1941.
She survives as well as two daughters; Barbara of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Peggy Sue, at home. Also surviving is a brother, Paul of Ledyard and a sister, Mrs. Howard Jensen.
