Mrs. Anna Mattson, 80 years of age and a resident of DeKalb since 1916 passed away yesterday afternoon at her home at 331 South Eleventh Street.
Mrs. Mattson was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olo Olson on April 28, 1868 in Blaking, Sweden. She was married there to Swan Mattson in April of 1895. The family moved from Sweden to this country and settled down in DeKalb.
Surviving her passing are her husband, Swan and three sons and one daughter; Mrs. Swan Swanson of DeKalb, Edwin of Malta, Morris of Waukegan, Albin of DeKalb.
Funeral services will be held Sunday. Aug. 15 from the Ronan Mortuary at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. C.G. Ahnquist in charge. Burial will be held in the Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Mattson was a devout member of the First Lutheran Church and her chief interests were centered around her home life and the church.
