Dead.
Mrs. Nancy T. Hale, one of Starkville’s oldest citizens died at her home last Saturday morning.
She was the widow of the late Wm. H. Hale who was prominent in business circles, and for many years after the war was circuit clerk of this county.
The deceased was connected with prominent families in this is state and Alabama, and was a first cousin of the late Thos. Seay, who was governor of the latter state about thirty years ago.
She leaves three sons, Messrs. Hodges Hale, of Aberdeen, Jas. T Hale, of Jackson, and Edward Hale, of Macon, all prominent business men; two daughters Mrs. M. T. Felder of this city and Mrs. Dr. Toler, of Texas.
The funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. T. H. Lipscomb, assisted by Dr. Weir. The interment occurred Sunday at Odd Fellows cemetery.
The News extends condolence to the bereaved.
