This is consecrated by his affectionate widow to the memory of the Reverend THOMAS ESPY who was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
August 21st, 1800. And finished his earthly course April 17th, 1833.

A warm and devoted
Friend
A humble Christian
and
A faithful zealous and successful
Minister of Christ
The only title which he claimed was
A sinner saved by grace.
There is a world above
Where parting is unknown
A long eternity of love
Formed for the good alone
And faith beholds the dying here.
