Lucy married Timothy Dix, as his second wife, at Littleton on June 3, 1809. Timothy served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the War of 1812 and was on active duty when stricken with illness and died in service to his country on Nov. 14, 1813.
Lucy and Timothy were the parents of one child, Roger Sherman Dix, born July 7, 1810. Roger served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the American army during the Mexican-American War and died of Cholera on Jan. 7, 1849 while on his way to Washington following the conclusion of hostilities.
Lucy never remarried. She was 88 and a resident of 160 Springfield St. in Boston's South End when she died of "Old Age." The death record confirms her burial at Forest Hills Cemetery.
