Elizabeth Jackson was the daughter of Elizabeth Jackson Buckner and Dr. Matthew Gardner Buckner.
Elizabeth married John Keith Maddin on February 22, 1922 at the home of her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Hill McAllister in Nashville.
To this union five children were born, Elizabeth Buckner "Betty" Maddin Baylor, MaryBelle Keith Maddin Mitchell, John Keith Maddin, Jr., Ellen McClung Maddin Farrell, and Matthew Gardner Buckner Maddin.
Mrs. Maddin was a member of Downtown Presbyterian Church, organizer and first president of A.P.T.A., National Society of Colonial Dames of America and Tennessee, Ladies Hermitage Association, and Polk Memorial Association.
