Dr. Victor V. Beck, 1302 Bismark Ave., retired Oshkosh dentist, was pronounced dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital Wednesday at b p.m. He suffered a coronary attack while in his car on Main Street near High Avenue, and was taken to the hospital in Moore Ambulance.

He was born in Richland County, son of Mitchell and Susannah Beck, and was married in Oshkosh to Miss Jeanette Kleinschmidt on Sept. 17, 1949.

A graduate of University of Wisconsin, Dr. Beck came to Oshkosh following graduation from Marquette University Dental School as a doctor of dental surgery. He retired in 1967.

He served with the Marines in World War I in the Second Division, and following officers training in France was discharged as a second lieutenant. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Delta Sigma Delta fraternity. He was a life member of the American Dental Association, member of Wisconsin State Dental Society, Winnebago County Dental Society, Cook-Fuller Post 70 of American Legion, Masonic Lodge 27, past patron of Order of Eastern Star 16 and past watchman of White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 2.

Surviving are his widow, Jeanette; one son, Roger Beck, Barington, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stephen W. Rankin, of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-9 p.m. Masonic service will be held Friday at 7 p.m.
