Ada Jean Hatfield Minor was born Nov. 13, 1928 and passed away Nov. 27, 2021 exactly two weeks after her 93rd birthday.
She was many things a wife, a mother, an administrative assistant, a bookkeeper, a bowler, a seamstress, and a business owner. She loved games and crosswords but most of all she loved family.
She and her husband Earl, to whom she was married for 70 years, moved to Searcy, AR in August 1994. She was a member of AWH and UWA, serving as President of AWH for a term. She also taught the 3rd grade girls Bible class at College Church of Christ. Known for her beautiful smile and gentle nature, she had many friends and was greatly loved by friends and family alike. She also had unwavering faith in God.
Preceding her in death were her parents Grover Cleveland Hatfield and Bessie Elizabeth Winkle Hatfield, husband Earl, youngest daughter Lisa, brothers Howard, Jack, Boyd, Merle, and sisters Kathryn, Iris, Wilma, Dorothy, Velma, Jo Ann, and Sallie.
She is survived by daughters Linda (Travis) Thompson, Sara Elliott, and a son Steve (Andra) Minor.
Visitation will be at College Church of Christ in Searcy beginning at 10:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2021. Interment will be at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, AR.
