Cheraw, SC - Elizabeth "Lib" Taylor, 90, of Columbia and formerly of Cheraw, died Monday January 30, 2012. Born in Mount Croghan, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Oscar Taylor, Sr. and Lucy Elizabeth Jordan Taylor. She attended Queens College in Charlotte, NC, and later graduated from Columbia College, Columbia, SC. She was a teacher in Mt. Croghan, SC, in the 1940's. She had served as the state director of the Children's Division of the United Methodist state conference. She was a member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church where she served as the church secretary.

Survivors include her son, Edward Sickenberger of Gig Harbor, WA; brother, Col. James Oscar Taylor, Sr. of Cheraw, SC; grandsons, John Watson, III of Elgin, Ronnie Watson of Lexington, Brian Watson of Columbia, George Sickenberger of New York State; granddaughter, Shannon Atkinson of Gig Harbor, WA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Watson.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
