George C. Hacker, 77, Springfield, died Wednesday at his home. He was born in Springfield, the son of George C. and Anna Hannibal Hacker, Sr. His wife Melvina died in 1978.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter Mrs. Peggy Tanner in 1967; and a brother Elmer R. Hacker.

He was a former machinist for Hummer Mfg. Co. He was also a butcher for the Taintor Market for several years.

Survived by his son G. Robert; five grandchildren.

Graveside services in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
