Mary Ellen (Mason) Kowalski, age 68, of Beacon Falls, CT, passed away on January 1, 2015 at St. Vincent's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Kowalski, both formerly of Monroe.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence Olivia of Trumbull. She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Mason and her brother Charles Olivia and sister Shirley Olivia Sportini.

In addition to her husband, Mary Ellen is survived by her sister Sandra Volpe of Pocono Pines, PA., her brother Ronald Olivia of Sugar Land TX and her sister Karen Olivia of San Antonio, TX as well as her nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen was a Eucharistic minister with St. Jude's Parish as well as an active volunteer "never missing the Italian Festival". Mary Ellen's best times were when she traveled with her husband Anthony.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7th from 4pm to 8 pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home , 315 Monroe Tpke. Monroe, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 8th 2015, 10:30 AM at St. Jude Parish, 707 Monroe Tpke. Monroe, CT. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to ST Jude Parish, 707 Monroe Turnpike Monroe, CT.
