John (Andreas Johann) Bialk was the son of Joseph Bialk and Marianna Ceynowa. He was born in Karlikowo (formerly Karlikau, Kreis Putzig, West Prussia) and baptized at Żarnowiec Catholic parish (formerly Zarnowitz, Kreis Putzig, West Prussia). He married Rosalia Hebel at Żarnowiec in 1870. They had at least five children: Mary, John, Eva, Anna, and Rosalia.
