Carrie Anne Alonzo, 45, of White Cloud, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. She was born May 31, 1975 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Carrie was blessed with four children she called her own. She worked at Big Prairie Township Fire Department, Newaygo Public Schools as a bus driver, and was a member of the Big Prairie Fire Department AUX. She married Jeremiah Alonzo on June 17, 2017 at St. Joeseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. She enjoyed being with her family, camping, gardening, cooking, swimming, and boating. She was a beautiful, loving, caring woman with a spirit for life. She will be deeply missed. Carrie is survived by: her husband, Jeremiah; children, Sylas, Bayleigh, Ezekiel, and Lillian; parents; Christine (Richard) Disinger and Kenneth Girard; brothers, David (Tina) Girard and Christopher (Stephanie) Schutt; sister, Amber (Jack) Schutt; aunts, Katherine Mathieu, Diane (Joseph) Knight, and Janet (Dennis) Schmitt; uncles, Chet Maksymowski and Daniel Girard; parents-in-law, Jose and Deborah Alonso; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her grandparents Frank and Freda Girard, Genieve and Chester Maksymowski and uncle Thomas Girard. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 965 E Newell Street, White Cloud, MI. 49349, with Father Peter Schafer officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the mass at church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
