RUBY AMEENAH MUHAMMAD ABDULLAH Gary, Indiana At rest April 22, 2009, at the early age of 79. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Charles Abdullah; 2 sons, Ladell Thomas and Leroy Muhammad; daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; sisters-in-law; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at House of Robinson Memorial Chapel, 1900 West 15th Avenue. Imam Ira Abdul-Malik, officiant. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. Sister Ruby had been an activist in the cause of G-d for over 25 years. She became a Muslim back in the 70's and had been a strong supporter of the Mosque Cares under the leadership of the late Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed. She had written a book entitled "The Power of Mother Love" and was in the process of writing another one. Arrangements and Direction Entrusted, House of Robinson, 1900 West 15th Ave., Gary, IN.
