Funeral services for Mrs. Tilda Saling were held Saturday morning in the Lutheran Church of Our Savior of which she was a member. Mrs. Saling passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning in a Mankato hospital after an illness of a few days. Death was due to a stroke. She was 63 years old.

The Rev. W.A. Lorenz conducted the funeral service here and at Luverne where her body was laid to rest in the family lot in Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. Elmer Schonrock was the soloist, with Sandra Fitzsimmons at the organ. Casket bearers were Rex Henderson, Leo Roerig, Al Dahl, Paul Froehlich, William Oden and Merrill Hall.

Dinner for about 20 members of the family was served at the church here before the funeral procession left for Luverne.

Born at Hills, Minnesota, May 3, 1891, Mrs. Saling had two sisters, Minnie Jorgenson, who preceded her in death, and Ella Savold of Hills, who survives her; and four brothers, Roy Savold of Hills, Henry of Sioux Falls, S.D., Sam of Minneapolis and Elmer of St. Paul, all surviving.

On September 15, 1915, she was married to Ralph Anderson, and they came to Winnebago to live for a short time, after which they moved to California until 1928. At that time they moved back to this city where she has since been in a number of business enterprises.

In 1945 she was married to Marion Saling and together they were operating Til's Steak House north of town at the time of her death.

Her only son, Gene Anderson of Mankato, is left to mourn her death.
