The remains of Dr. J. E. Coleman, who died at his home in Doddsville Sunday, were interred in Oakwood Cemetery Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Funeral services were held at the grave conducted by Rev. A. T. Clanton, assisted by Revs. W. S. Shipman and A. C. McCorkle.
Dr. Coleman was reared in this county, and was one of the leading physicians of the Delta. During the past few years had practically retired, however, from the practice of his profession, and devoted his time to the management of his plantation interests, which were among the largest in the Delta section.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, Mrs. Ella Grider Coleman, and several children. To the bereaved ones the Times extends its deepest sympathy.
