Rufus F. Pierce, 74, of 207 West Adler died Dec. 21 at his home of an apparent heart attack. He moved to Davis about two years ago from Marietta, Okla., and established a photography studio on South B Street. He was a member of the Tyre Masonic Lodge No. 42 in Davis. He was born April 1, 1898, in Wise County, Texas. Masonic services were held Friday, Dec.22, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Jim House officiated at the service and burial was in the Green Hill cemetery. Bahner Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were members of the local Masonic lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Mae Pierce of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Shawver of Oklahoma City; a son, Jack Pierce of Ardmore; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Rollins of Bethany and Mrs. Effie Morris of Perry; three brothers, Roy Pierce, Judd Pierce, and Price Pierce, all of Bethany, Okla., seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
