Bernice Moss, 72, Dies; Ex-Professor at U. of U.
  TAYLORSVILLE --Bernice Moss, 72, former professor at the University of Utah died Monday in Taylorsville.
  Dr. Moss was a professor of health education at the University of Utah for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1971. She was president of the American Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation for two years.
  She was also supervisor of health education instruction for the schools of California for eight years.
  She was a member of the Joint Committee of the American Medical Association and the National Education Association.
  Dr. Moss received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Utah, a master's degree from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from Stanford University.
  A well known leader in her field, Dr. Moss published an co-authored books on health education and received numerous national awards.
  Dr. Moss was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  She was born July 17, 1906 in Salt Lake City to James E. and Maud Nixon Moss.
  She is survived by her brother, Sen. Frank E. Moss of Salt Lake City, and seven nieces and nephews.
  Funeral will be held Thursday noon at the Monument Park 6th Ward, 2100 E. 1930 South. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 7th South, and one hour prior to services at the ward.
  Burial will be at the Holladay Memorial Park.
