Mrs. A. W. Smith Dies
New York, March 17, Mrs. Ann (nee Hess) Smithwife of Arthur W Smith, son of the late gov. Alfred F Smith, died yesterday. She was 49.
Mrs. Smith the daughter of Albany plumbing contractor, Joseph M Hess, was married to the governor's son in 1924.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Caddigan, and four sons, Arthur W Jr., Walter, Alfred and William Smith
