One (son) a gallant soldier, who fell in Picket's charge at Gettysburg, leading Kemper's brigade.

From an obit of his father
His eldest son, Major Thomas Pollock, was killed at Gettysburg and his body never recovered.

1st Sgt.,1st LA Inf.Regt.;
Capt.,Co.F,60th Va.Inf.Regt.;
later on staffs of Gens.R.E.Lee and Kemper.
On staff of Kemper when he was killed.
