Twyla was born in Williston, ND on June 1, 1959 to Christian and Rosemary (Froelich) Boe. She attended school in Ray, North Dakota and graduated in 1977.
Twyla was involved in many activities while attending school in Ray. She was selected to sing in the Tri-State Concert, she participated in Girls State, was on the pompom squad and was selected candidate for homecoming queen. After high school, she continued her education in Bismarck where she was working to attain her cosmetology license. In 1978 she met Mike Hoff at a close friend’s wedding in Steele where she was the vocalist. They married in October of the next year in Bismarck, North Dakota, and later gave birth to their two beautiful children, (Brandy) ReAya Michale and Derek Hoff. Twyla and Mike were married for 9 years.
After which Twyla began her own personal journey of soul searching which led her to Marvin Olson in 1996. Twyla and Marvin were married August 22, 1999 and they made their home in West Fargo, North Dakota. In October 2004, they moved to Tioga, ND and made their home in the original homestead of Twyla’s grandparents.
Twyla was a woman who was definitely social by nature. Her blossoming creativity led her to certain areas of crafts such as painting, crocheting and eclectic beadwork. She also loved shopping and always finding "the bargain". She especially loved to shop for shoes; every shopping trip always included a trip to the clearance shoe rack!
Hair styling was definitely Twyla’s forte. She has worked at numerous salons and gained outstanding rapport from her clientele. Her warm personality had the feeling of the sun.
Twyla is survived by her husband, Marvin Olson of Tioga, her brother Emery (Carrie) Tioga, her sister Bonnie (Terry) Walhaug Williston and her two children, (Brandy) ReAya Michale Phoenix, AZ, Derek Hoff of Williston and their father, Mike Hoff of Dickinson, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Rosemary and one brother Marty.
Twyla will be remembered by all. Her charisma is admired and her hearts intent will be savored and carried on.
