A life that in its span of eighty years including countless interesting experiences and triumphs, came to a close early yesterday morning when Mrs. Josephine Farnsworth McDonald, widow of Joseph E McDonald, former United States senator, died at her home, 49 the Ring apartments…
Mrs. McDonald during her entire life was regarded as a great beauty. Even in her late years she retained the charm of face and coloring that had made her famous as a younger woman. She was born in Westfield, N Y, and was the daughter of Frank Farnsworth. When she was a young woman the family moved to Indiana and settled in Madison. She was married twice, her first husband being Jehiel Barnard, by whom she had one son, Frank Barnard, who died several years ago…
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frances Baxter of Santa Barbara, Cal, and a brother, Frank Farnsworth of Washington, D C. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the home and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, beside the grave of Mr. McDonald.
