Cora Lee YawSouth Gate, CA - Cora Lee Yaw, 79, passed away March 13, 2018.She was born to W.E. (Bill) and Thelma (LaRue) Butler on May 18, 1938 in Beloit, KS. After moving from Beloit she lived in several towns; Ionia, Concordia and Montrose, Kansas. The family moved to Fort Collins on Overland Trail in 1946. In that area, school-age children attended Cache La Poudre in La Porte, CO. From there she graduated high school. During her school years, she, with her parents, traveled to New York, NY., where she was baptized in the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses at the convention being held there.Cora Lee Married Larry Wiedeman of Fort Collins and they had one child, Curtis.She enjoyed traveling and attended many of Jehovah's Witnesses assemblies. One trip included Ireland to visit her brother, Gary Butler and wife Connee and the twins. The family had moved there (where the need was great) for nearly 2 years.She also liked concerts, NFL Football and all sorts of music - country musicians favored - and she was a pro at reminiscing.In later years she married Eugene Yaw. After selling their service station in Illinois, they settled in California.She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr./Mrs. W.E. Butler, California; Larry Wiedeman of Waverly CO.; son Curtis Weideman of California and Eugene Yaw of California and sister Patricia Ann Butler of Mankato, KS.She is survived by her brother Gary Butler (and wife Connee) of Sierra Vista AZ.; her sister Pryntha (Butler-Jones) Winfrey of Fort Collins; 5 nieces and 3 nephews, and many (great and grand) nieces and nephews.Services will be held by the Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation (Downey East) of South Gate, CA.Condolences may be sent to A. and P., 4412 E.
