Anderson Waddell Lucas, Jr. attended school at New Mexico Military Institute at Roswell, New Mexico. Owner of Lucas Harbor and former Mayor of New Johnsonville, Tennessee.
A. W. "Junior" married Aliga Maurina Woolverton on May 31, 1942 in Charleston, Missouri. To this union a son was born, Edward Waddell Lucas (1942). Junior's second marriage was to Anna Belle Clement of Dickson on September 27, 1952. His third marriage was to Dorothy Jean Tibbs on May 18, 1974, and to this union two children were born, James Wyly Lucas and Linda Lynne Lucas.
Mr. Lucas's great-grandfather John Griff Lucas (b1837) received a land grant at the Tennessee River and the area was named Lucas Landing in his honor. In 1944, The Tennesssee Valley Authority flooded Johnsonville to form Kentucky Lake, the residences moved to the Lucas property to establish New Johnsonville, Tennessee. The town was incorporated in 1949.
