It is written in multiple sources in my possession that Samuel is buried in the Lehi Cemetery, but the cemetery records do not include his name. I talked to the City of Lehi staff, JoAnn, and a Lehi cemetery caretaker, Carl Bueller, today. They confirmed that all Lehi Cemetery records were destroyed by fire near the year 1898. And that the cemetery records only go back to 1919, unless the headstones were legible.

Mr Bueller also told me that an old pioneer cemetery on Main Street was used from 1852-1872. (The spot is now home to a DUP memorial) In 1872 the cemetery was moved to the present day location. At that time, they took all the headstones (most of which were only initials or numbers) and re-interred the dead in the present day Lehi City Cemetery.

I am relying on the written records of my ancestors as confirmation that Samuel Lufkin is buried in this cemetery. And with these facts on the Lehi cemetery it is very possible even without written verification from the City.
