Services for James 0. Mumper, 67, of Sunset Bay, Constantia, who died Friday at his home, will be at 9 a. m. Tuesday at the Bordynski-Hollis Funeral Home, and 9:45 a. m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. today at the funeral home, 1105 W. Genesee St.
Born in Allentown, Pa., he was a Syracuse area resident for most of his life. Mr. Mumper had been a chlorine production supervisor for Allied Chemical Corp, retiring in 1977 after 35 years with the company. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. He had served in the Army as a master sergeant in the 112th Infantry Division during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Roswig Post and Constantia Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Mr. Mumper was an active member in the Boy Scouts for more than 40 years He was the recipient of the Silver Beaver, St. George Award, Woodbadger Award, Scouters Key and
District Award of Merit. He was past commissioner of the Hiawatha Council Training Commission, was serving on the Diocesan Catholic Boy Scout Commission and was on the Hiawatha council executive Committee.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Mercuric of Fairmount, a son, James M. of Nedrow, a sister, Doris Farsaci of Camiilus, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made the the Boy Scouts of America, Hiawatha Council.
