According to an article in the March 13, 1966 edition of the Kansas City (MO) Star, the 4½ acre site encompassing the "Niagara swimming pool and beach club, a fixture there more than three decades", was sold by Mrs. Tekla Bolin and Carl A. Olson, sister and brother, to an investment group. The site is bounded by Troost Ave. on the east, Campbell St. on the west, 80th St. on the north, and 81st St. on the south. The $2,000,000-plus project was to include 135 apartments and a 25,000 square foot office building on Troost Ave. Realtor Bert W. Heims expected the entire project to be completed by early 1968. Today, these apartments are known as Waldo Heights.
