Emily Mariah "Maria" Churchill, first daughter of Judge Armistead Henry (1796-1880) and Maria H. Sneed Churchill (1801-c45), was born on April 15, 1837, in Hardin County, Ky. She lived in Hancock County, Ky. She married in 1855, Philip Travis Daniel (1834-74), son of Travis (c1815-37) and Rosina Lightfoot Daniel (1816-94), of Hardinsburg, Ky. Their children were Nathaniel Lightfoot (1863-1931) and Rosina Lightfoot Daniel (1865-1936).

Nathaniel Lightfoot Daniel (1863-1931) lived in Dale, Ind. and served in the Navy. He married in 1886, Emma Kelso Jones (1868-1943), daughter of William (1843-1916) and Elizabeth Kelso Jones, of Spencer County, Ind. Their five children were Travis Jones (1887-1970) who married Mary E. (1885-1960), Emma (c1889-), Lizzie (1890), William Nathaniel (1891-1964), and Harry Churchill Daniel (1894-1932). Emma Daniel (1892-1911) lived in Oconomowoc, Wis. She married a Johnson, and their son was Daniel Johnson. William Nathaniel Daniel (1891-1964) lived in Spencer County. He married in 1916, Chasta Ward LaRue (1899-), daughter of Guy (1868-1915) and Mary Bruner LaRue, of Warrick County, Ind. Their daughter was Elizabeth Daniel (c1917-). Harry Churchill Daniel (1894-1932) lived in Boonville, Ind. and married in 1920, in Spencer County, Jessie Elliot Scales (1904-70), daughter of John William (1882-1972) and Charlee Drew Elliot Scales (1882-1972). Their son, Harry Churchill Daniel, Jr. (1921-88), lived in Boonville and served in WWII in the Army, 1940-43. He married (1) in 1950, Delila Mae Sweeny (-1957), in Seguine, Tex. He married (2) in 1963, in Shawneetown, Ill., Dorothy Margaret Ashley, (1918-92) daughter of Floyd and Mellie Jane Beach Ashley.

Rosina "Rosa" Lightfoot Daniel (1865-1936) married in 1890, Haden Overton Williams (1864-1948), son of Rev. William Henry (1832-97) and Maria English Williams (1838-1907), of Elizabethtown, Ky. They lived in Elizabethtown. Their children were Marie Churchill (1892-1938), Elleanor Churchill (1895-1920) and William Henry Williams II (1900-1935). Marie Churchill Williams (1892-1938)(dsp) lived in Bluefield, W.Va. She married in 1916, Roy Erastus Calloway (1892-1989). William Henry Williams II (1900-1935) lived in Hardin County, Ky. and married in 1925, Janet Crosby Burke (1904-88). Their daughter, Eleanor Dale Williams (1927-), lived in Welch, W.Va.

Emily Mariah Churchill died November 9, 1870. Her husband, Philip Travis Daniel, died February 18, 1874. They are reportedly buried in the Lightfoot Cemetery, outside of Hardinsburg, Ky.
