She was employed for 33 years with James River Corp., retiring in August of 1979. She was a member of the Kalamazoo Wesleyan Church. On August 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Charles Hoard, who survives. Also surviving are a son David Eugene (Viola) Eaton of Dorr, MI; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor "Beatrice" Depew of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters-in-law, Maxine Vette and Macis Vette; several in-laws, nieces, nephews. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jodie Cutler; 2 brothers, Donald and Robert Vette. Services will be held 10:30 Saturday at the Kalamazoo Wesleyan Church (1204 Whites Rd) with Rev. Mr. Danny Janes officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S.
