Lorena Sylvia Braun, at the age of 98, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday June 1, 2017. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband A.C. Braun, parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her 2 sons Terry and Tim Braun, daughter Lynda Braun Brown and husband Floyd; 3 grandchildren, Billy Braun, Scotty Braun and wife Julie, and Christy Braun; 3 great-granddaughters, Kirstyn Powell and husband Jeff, Kaylee and Autumn; 1 great-great grandson, Jeremy Powell; nephew, Rick Bush and son Ehrick, and numerous nephews, nieces and many close and dear friends.

Sylvia fought a long and hard battle with COPD. The family wants to specially thank Trinity Hospice for the love and care they provided for her. Cindy, Shawna and others became an extension of our family. We also thank Brenda, who according to mother, was an angel sent by God as she prepared for her long journey home.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South till 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at 8:00 am Monday, June 12, 2017 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
