Mrs. John Kempers (nee Annie Kempers) [sic: Rozeboom] passed away early Thursday morning at the age of 76 years and 28 days. On March 14, 1895, she was united in marriage to John Kempers, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1946. To this union eleven children were born, ten of which now survive. One child born in 1906 died in infancy.

The ten children are Dena (Mrs. Wm. A. Schuiteman ) and Gerrit both of Sioux Center. Rev. John of Mexico; Dr. Bert of Albequerque, N.M.; Hermina, Mrs. Bert Mouw, Orange City; Johanna, Mrs. Wm. Bernink, Sioux Center; Bernard, Washington, D.C,; Lillian, Mrs. Richard Warntjes, Sioux Center; Betty, Mrs. Dr. Ed Heneveld, Muskegon, and Marion of Hull.

Also surviving her are 35 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Three grandchildren preceded her in death. Mrs. Kempers is also survived by the following brothers and sisters; Bert, Andrew and Lammert Rozeboom and Lillian, Mrs. Barney Kempers, and John Rozeboom. The following preceded her in death: Altje, Mrs. Hoksbergen; Lizzie, Mrs. Gerrit Vander Berg; Minnie, Mrs. Egbert Vander Hoop and Hannes Rozeboom.
