Julia, 90, of Bellaire, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. Born in Wills Point, Texas, she grew up in Canton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jamie and Aubrey Loughmiller, her husband Samuel Eugene Bering, Jr., and her sisters, Mary Beth Paul and Jamie Matthews. Julia is survived by her brother, Aubrey (Valerie) Loughmiller; her four children, Catherine (David) Holly, Gene (Jane) Bering, Susan (Larry) George, and Margaret (John) West; her eight grandchildren, Megan (Brian) Viktorin, Rachel (Richard) Biagioni, Jessica Holly, Sara (Jason) Maw, Lauren (Marlon Alvarez) George, Jenny (Dustin) Neasbitt, Ryan and Jason West; her six great-grandchildren, Caroline and Tyler Viktorin, Léo Biagioni, Brooke Maw, Marla and Raleigh Neasbitt; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 12627 W. Belfort Ave., Sugar Land, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6. Burial will be Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, friends may send a contribution to St Agnes Academy, 9000 Bellaire Blvd., 77036 (a memorial gift may be made online at st-agnes.org) or a charity of your choice.
