Alma L. Snell was born on July 23, 1938 in Holly Grove, Arkansas. She was the eldest child born to Lafayette and Allean Early Coleman. God called her home on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette and Allean Coleman; son, Wiggins, H. Snell; daughter, Bernese Snell-Harris; grandson, Deontay Snell; and 2 brothers, Wilton and Lafayette Coleman.
She leaves to cherish her memories: the father of her children, Wiggins Snell Jr.; children, Alma M. Snell (Larry); George (Melissa) Snell , Odell (Stephanie) Snell and Billy Snell all of Kalamazoo; Barbara (Edward) Carter of Corsicana TX; Phyllis (Wallace) Taylor of Battle Creek, Wanda Thurmond, Warren Dungey Jr., Curtis Snell, Nelson and Pete McDaniel, Joyce Alexander and Joy Stovall; sisters, Mamie Winters, Rosie Ford, Martha Barrow, Faye (Robert) Dorsey and Cornelia Potts; 1 brother, Dwight D. Coleman; forty- four grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also, special friends, Clara Snell, Evelyn Minor and Sarah Moore.
She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched, as she never met a stranger.
Her home going service was at Galiee.Baptist Church.
