Mrs. Henry Daingerfield, one of Alexandria's best known and highly respected citizens, died at her residence, at the corner of Prince and Columbus streets, shortly before 12 o'clock last night. Mrs. Daingerfield had been ill for several week, and her death had been expected. Some weeks ago she received a stroke of paralysis which caused the loss of her eyesight. She has had one or two strokes since. Mrs. Daingerfield was a consistent member of St. Paul's church. She was a sister of the late Reverdy Johnson and mother of the late Messrs. Reverdy J and Henry Daingerfield.
