Mrs. Mary Bowie Johnson Flood, last surviving granddaughter of Reverdy Johnson, the eminent American lawyer and two-time United States Senator from Maryland who serviced in the Cabinet of Zachary Taylor, died yesterday at the College Manor nursing home in Lutherville.

Mrs. Flood, 87, who had lived most of her adult life in Winchester, Va., after her marriage to the late Maj. John Heber Flood, of the United States Army, entered the nursing home about three years ago.

Born at "Lyndhusrt"

Born at Lyndhurst, the West Baltimore estate of her grandfather, Mrs. Flood was the daughter of the late Maj. Edward Contee Johnson, a former commander of the 5th Regiment, and Kate Moore Johnson.

Her grandfather, a native of Annapolis who moved to Baltimore to practice law, was United States Senator from Maryland from 1845 to 1849, Minister to England and Attorney General of the United States, and again Senator from 1863 to 1868.

Funeral services for Mrs. Flood, who is survived only by cousins, will be held Monday in Winchester.

Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
