BODY OF BONNEY ROOT RECOVERED FROM STILLWATER

The body of Bonney Root, drowned Sunday at the Northwestern dam, was recovered at 11:20 this morning by Deputy Sheriff Carr, George LaRue, and Mrs. Al Root who had been assisting in the search.
It was caught in a net which Sheriff McMillan had placed across the river about half a mile below the dam. The body lodged in the net about 30 feet from shore and in very swift water, so that considerable difficulty was experienced in getting it out. There was a bruise near the right eye, but it was impossible to tell whether this occurred before or after death.
Sheriff McMillan has used every effort to recover the body. Soon after drowning he placed the net across the river, and deputies have patrolled the river day and night ever since.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener and Campbell chapel by Rev. Walter H. Sandy. Interment will be made in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.
