Services for Fay N. Petty, 81, of 1919 47th St. Court, Moline, are 2:30 p.m. Monday at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, Rock Island, where he was a member.

Mr. Petty died Thursday, May 16, 1996, at home.

He was born June 4, 1914, in Montrose, Iowa, the son of Jessie and Grace Noonan Petty. He married Maybelle Ohrberg Oct. 14, 1955, in Rock Island. She died April 16, 1996.

He was employed as a welder at McLaughlin Body Co., retiring in 1979, after 30 years. Prior to that, he worked for International Harvester, East Moline, George Evans Corp and Spiegel Moving Co. After retirement, he worked for Burns Security, Bettendorf.

He was a member of Rock Island Moose Lodge.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Dorothy Pyles, a stepson, Larry Ohrberg, both of Moline; children, Joy, Alice, Tom, Grace and Harold; six stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; sisters, June Johnson, Paola, Kan., Hazel Martin, Keokuk, and Irma Harness, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and brothers, Harold Petty, Zillah, Wash., and Charles Petty, Montrose, Iowa.
